Letters: South Delta Food Bank says thanks

Editor:

On behalf of the South Delta Food Bank, a huge thank you for your continuous support of our food bank.

This year was a quite different year for many. With the COVID-19 outbreak, we had to make changes to ensure the safety and well-being of our volunteers and clients. It’s been a challenging year, but looking brighter for this coming year.
People have been asking if we have seen an increase in usage of the Food Bank. To be honest, our numbers here in South Delta have stayed about the same, although other Food Banks have reported big increases. Our Food Bank network does redistribute donations to Food Banks with greater needs.
Our Food Bank is open to anybody living in South Delta earning less than $40,000 per year, including those affected by COVID-19 through job loss or whatever the circumstance. You are welcome to our Food Bank. We are open every Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at 5545 Ladner Trunk Road in Ladner.
Donations can be dropped off at the Lighthouse Church office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. Donations can also be made online at southdeltafoodbank.org.
And again, thanks to all that have made donations or dropped off groceries. Together we are able to help those in need.
Thanks to all from the volunteers at the South Delta Food Bank.
