At the height of the first wave of COVID-19, Daily Bread food banks saw a 200 per cent increase in new clients. Prior to the pandemic, 15,000 visits were made each week to Daily Bread member food banks, yet no one could have predicted the number to climb to 25,000 clients currently served weekly.
