OPP collects $1,800 in food for food bank, collects $5,200 in cash donations – The Review Newspaper

On Saturday December 12, 2020, members of the Hawkesbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Auxiliary Unit, with the assistance of the Hawkesbury Rotary Club, held their “Annual OPP Food Drive” at Asselin Your Independent Grocer on Cameron Street in Hawkesbury.

Despite the rainy weather, parents and children were present to capture a memorable photo with Santa and the Hawkesbury OPP mascot.

The food drive event was from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and thanks to the amazing generosity of our citizens again this year, a total of $5,200 in cash donations and over $1,800 of food was donated to our local food banks.

The Hawkesbury OPP Detachment wish to thank Asselin Your Independent Grocer for their hospitality and would like to recognize the amazing contribution of $2,000 from real estate agent Tanya Myre and her team.

The OPP thanks the public for making this event a huge success.
