Cam’s Hot Sauce, $18
Chef Nathan Tate, the culinary whiz behind beloved restaurants Boulevardier, Rapscallion, and Hillside Tavern, is cooking up a hot sauce to raise funds to pay for medical treatment for his son Cameron, who was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year. The sauce is made with smoked red jalapenos, then aged for about a month in charred oak barrels.
Tate’s already sold through one batch of sauce, but is currently taking pre-orders for a second, which is expected to be ready in a month. To score a bottle, send $18 to Tate via PayPal (natate79@gmail.com) and note “batch 2” in the notes when placing your order. For more details visit Tate’s Facebook page.
Turbo Salt, $12
Step up your margarita (or ranch water, or literally any cocktail) game with this spicy, savory rim salt from chef Anastacia Quinones’s beloved Mexican restaurant Jose. Turbo Salt is available for both shipping and order pick-up via Jose’s website, along with some very snazzy t-shirts, baseball caps, and artisan-made ceramics from Guadalajara.
