Coffee Buzz is yet another new food truck operating in Evansville! Drake’s Restaurantwill open on Monday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. Drake’s serves a large and varied menu of elevated bar food, burgers and sushi. The restaurant has a full bar and many beer taps and televisions.

The Haynie’s Corner Brewing Co. begins their Merry & Bright Pop Up Series on Monday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. by inviting Scott Schymik of Sauced to tend bar and showing Bad Santa. A portion of sales benefit the Haynie’s Corner Arts District.

The Lure Seafood and Grille/Famous Bistro Good Time Tent in Owensboro will host a dinner and drinks collaboration with El Toribio Mexican Restaurant on December 9 and 10.

On Wednesday, Dec. 9, food will be from Lure and drinks from El Toribio: pork roulade with chorizo and elote corn ravioli with a classic margarita; barbecued bacon wrapped shrimp and grits with mango chutney and cucumber jalapeño margarita; and carrot cake pop with spiked horchata. On Thursday, Dec. 10, food will be from El Toribio and Drinks from Lure: mini chicken enchiladas verde with Mexican mule; pork tamales with molé sauce and a New York sour; cheesecake chimichangas with chocolate sauce and a raspberry martini.  

Also at the tent on Saturday, Dec. 12, 10 local bands will be playing from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. to raise money for Owensboro restaurant staff out of work because of the current dining room shutdown. The event will stream live and donations can be made online, and a lucky few can buy tables for lunch and dinner seatings to watch live.
