Officials are investigating after skeletal remains were found Monday in the woods near Airport Road in Lehigh County, officials said.
Troopers were called at about 12:23 p.m. Monday, and found the remains of a male in a wooded area in the 2100 block of Hoover Avenue in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, Trooper Nathan Branosky said.
The area includes warehouses for US Foods and Primo Produce, and is behind a shopping center that includes BJ’s Wholesale Club.
An autopsy was performed Tuesday, but officials said they would need further testing to determine the cause and manner of death.
The death is being investigated by the Lehigh County coroner’s office and Pennsylvania State Police Troop M Criminal Investigation Unit and Troop M Forensic Services Unit.
