The following list includes recent reports from the Midland County Sheriff’s Office and the Midland Police Department. Compiled by reporter Mitchell Kukulka.

Friday, Jan. 15

9:21 p.m. — Deputies responded to a car-deer crash in Lee Township.

8:41 p.m. — A deputy stood by while the FBI interviewed a 39-year-old man in reference to possible threats.

8:16 p.m. — A 39-year-old Warren Township woman reported an unknown vehicle hit her $20 mailbox. The vehicle left immediately afterward, and there are no suspects.

8:03 p.m. — Deputies were dispatched to a Lee Township residence in reference to a report of domestic violence between a 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman. The man left the scene prior to deputies arriving. A bag of suspected methamphetamine was found in the man’s vehicle. The suspected meth is being sent to the MSP crime lab to get tested. A report is being sent to the courts.



2:31 p.m. — A deputy was dispatched to the area of East Baker Road near North Jack Road for the report of a single-vehicle traffic crash.

2:02 a.m. — Deputies responded to a vehicle crash in Greendale Township.


12:37 p.m. — A deputy was dispatched to the area of East Gordonville Road near South Homer Road for the report of a single-vehicle traffic crash. The deputy was advised to cancel, as there was no damage to the vehicle.

12:25 p.m. — A deputy was dispatched to the area of West Redstone Road near North Magruder Road for the report of a single-vehicle traffic crash.



11:13 a.m. — A deputy was dispatched to the area of North 9 Mile Road near West Saginaw Road for the report of a single-vehicle traffic crash.


11:02 a.m. — Officers responded to a vehicle crash in the 400 block of East Main Street.

10:37 a.m. — A 39-year-old Homer Township man reported he was being harassed by a 36-year-old man. The complainant previously completed home repairs for the subject who was harassing him. The complainant said the harassment stemmed from a dispute over money. Deputies contact the 36-year-old and advised him not to have contact with the victim.

6:40 a.m. — A deputy was dispatched to the area of East Freeland Road near South Poseyville Road for the report of a car-deer traffic crash.

5:03 a.m. — Deputies were sent to Lincoln Township for a report of a car crash, with the vehicle being stuck in the yard of the complainant. The suspect vehicle was leaving the scene as the deputy arrived. A subsequent traffic stop of the vehicle was conducted, and a 19-year-old man was arrested for operating while intoxicated. The vehicle was not damaged when it crashed into a snowbank.


2:07 a.m. — Deputies were dispatched to an Edenville Township location for a report of a single-vehicle accident. There was a single person in the vehicle with no injuries. The 48-year-old Jerome Township male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated. A deputy also found suspected drugs on the male.

1:03 a.m. — A deputy was dispatched to a car-deer crash on Pine River Road near Nine Mile Road in Porter Township.

12:23 a.m. — A deputy was dispatched to a car-raccoon crash on M-20 near Eight Mile Road in Lee Township.
