Midland Emergency Food Pantry Network provides coupons to seniors

The Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network is now providing coupons to eligible seniors to use at the Midland Farmers Market.

The coupons, valued at $20, will last through this year’s farmers market season and are good to use for Michigan-grown, unprocessed items such as fruits and vegetables.

The coupons are available for Midland County residents with a total household income of 185% of poverty or less, ages 60 and over or 55 and older if they are a member of a Michigan federally recognized tribe or urban tribal group.

To receive the coupons, individuals must fill out a form by calling the network at 989-486-9393. Forms will also be available at the Midland Farmers Market on Wednesday, June 23, and Saturday, June 30.
