Melbourne travel vouchers up for grabs tomorrow

Victorians will be able to register to receive a $200 rebate after spending money on accommodation, attractions or tours in the city.

In order to be eligible for the voucher, people must be a Victorian resident aged 18 or over, spend at least $400 on a minimum two nights of accommodation, attractions or tours in metropolitan Melbourne during the specified period.

The eligible travel period for the vouchers runs from March 19 until May 16.

Acting Premier James Merlino said the travel voucher program had been extended to Melbourne following immense popularity in the regional scheme.

“Our regional vouchers have been incredibly popular, well-received with our businesses and communities right across regional Victoria, we are now following that up with 40,000 vouchers for Greater Melbourne,” he said.

“There is nothing better as a Melburnian and Victorian to explore the rest of your state.

“We really do encourage people to spend their money, spend their time, explore Victoria and these vouchers have been very, very popular.”

Vouchers are limited to one per household and people are urged to get in quick to snap one up.
