A coupon collection program by Jacksonville Sunrise Rotary Club for military personnel raised more than $31,348 since its start three months ago.

Manufacturer’s discount coupons have been collected, sorted and sent to a clearinghouse for distribution to military commissaries. Several locations in Jacksonville and South Jacksonville have been accepting coupon donations from residents.

Program coordinator Jane Becker said about $2,565 of the coupons were for food items, $27,623 for non-food items such as cleaning supplies, and $1,160 were for baby items.
