Who doesn’t love a good deal? “Coupons are huge — I mean people are always using coupons,” says Steve Weisman, Bentley University professor and author of Identity Theft Alert. “And now, we get them online. ”Weisman says it’s hard to resist saving a few bucks, so when we’re emailed a link to a supposed discount or see a friend sharing what looks like a deal on social media, it’s tempting to click on it.
