The Farmer and Frenchmanwill be hosting a Dad’s Day Lunch on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 20, with seatings at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The four-course meal includes a smoked chicken Cobb salad, dirty rice arancini, prime rib and Bourbon Spice cake with choice of wine, beer, mimosa or Bloody Mary. Tickets are $50, which includes tax and gratuity. There will be limited seating so reserve early.

Legacy Taste of the Garden in Princeton is teaming up with Urban Seedsand the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library to offer a Juneteenth Book & Cookvirtual cooking event for third to fifth graders on Saturday, June 19. Participants will pick up food and supplies at an EVPL branch location, then will learn about Juneteenth traditions and make their own dish at home on June 19 with virtual instruction. This is the first of a five-month series of Book n’ Cook classes. The class is free.

1816 Modern Kitchen in Corydon: Elegant dining in historic Indiana town

Osaka Japanese Hibachi and Sushi will be opening in the former Crazy Buffet II location at 5434 Pearl Drive. Opening date to be announced.

Milk Barn Café is a new food truck stationed just off Highway 41 near Darmstadt. It specializes in warm made-to-order iced doughnuts called “firecakes” in creative flavors, such as maple-bacon, strawberry and marshmallow, blueberry and raspberry, mudpie and more. Coffee drinks (drips) and ice cream will also be offered.

Poppa Bacon’s Street Kitchenis a new food truck specializing in worldly flavors. Visit them for dishes such as Delhi butter chicken with coconut rice, Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches, poutine, the Texan sirloin steak sandwich with cheddar and bacon on Texas Toast, nachos, fresh-cut fries and more.

Savannah’s Café just can’t stay closed. The family diner on Stringtown Road is open again from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. on Monday through Friday and the first weekend of each month.
